Arrival airport transfers are not included.

A departure transfer is included to Queenstown’s ZQN airport. After breakfast on our last day, Modern Adventure will organize a complimentary transfer from our hotel to ZQN airport. If you would like to join this transfer, your flight home should be scheduled to depart from ZQN at 12:30pm or later. Otherwise, it is your responsibility to organize a taxi at least 5 days ahead of your departure (see Departure from Queenstown).

Traveling with dietary restrictions or allergies can be a challenge, but we’re here to help. Prior to your departure, we’ll send you a questionnaire where you can inform us of any special dietary needs you have. Depending on the information you give us, we will work with our in-country partners to adjust menus and be aware of allergies and restrictions on the trip.

Accommodation pricing is based on double occupancy (two adults per room). This can mean two guests traveling together, or two solo travelers of the same gender paired as roommates. When occupancy is not double, a room becomes 'single,' which results in a single supplement charge to account for the difference in price. If you are willing to share a room, we will do our best to pair you with another solo guest of the same gender. If we are unable to pair you with another solo guest, or if you would like your own room, you will need to pay the single supplement fee of $2,000.

This adventure will require intermittent effort throughout and you should have an average amount of energy to participate. Activities will include walking medium distances over uneven terrain and involving steps; a 10-mile fully supported bike ride through flat terrain; and a helicopter flight followed by an easy-to-moderate hike.

Some locations could present challenges to persons with special needs. Neither Modern Adventure nor any of its suppliers may physically lift or assist travelers onto transportation or on daily activities. If you have questions or concerns about particular activities or trip aspects, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

You may cancel before October 3, 2021 and receive a full refund minus a $500 per-person service fee. If you cancel on or after October 4, 2021 there is a 50% cancellation fee; on or after December 2, 2022 there is a 100% cancellation fee.

We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance as we are not able to make exceptions to this policy in cases of family/medical emergency or cases of the trip being canceled (see our Terms and Conditions for full details).
